Making a Difference: Small Business Owners Give Back | Entrepreneurs Giving Back to Community, Social Change | Business News Daily

Bob and Charlee Moore, founders of Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods, have planted more than a few seeds for social change. The couple, who founded the stone grinding miller of whole grainsin 1978, recently donated $5 million to Oregon State University for health education and gifted another $1.35 million to the National College of Natural Medicine, which will fund a program to end childhood obesity.

Giving Back: Business Philanthropy

Noelke English Maples St. Leger Blair LLP raised $5,050 for the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies project at the People’s Community Clinic.

The law firm matched year-end charitable gifts from colleagues and friends for the program. People’s Community Clinic offers comprehensive, communitywide health care services to uninsured and medically underserved children and adults.

“People’s Community Clinic is extremely grateful to Noelke English Maples St. Leger Blair for supporting this important program. We especially appreciate the long-term partnership we’ve enjoyed with the firm, which has raised more than $30,000 for PCC,” said Regina Rogoff, the clinic’s chief executive officer.
